About Lynn

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 12 years of experience helping individuals and families work through life’s most difficult seasons. I specialize in supporting clients facing trauma, abuse, substance use, depression, anxiety, family dynamics, and parenting challenges. My approach is compassionate, faith-centered, and solution-focused, blending practical tools with deep understanding. I am committed to providing hope, guidance, and strategies that empower lasting growth and positive change.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and client-centered care. My training prepared me to integrate compassion, resilience-building, and practical tools to support each client’s journey toward healing and restored relationships.

You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone healing and growth are possible. I would be honored to walk alongside you with compassion, support, and hope. When you are ready, I invite you to take the next step toward change and peace, knowing you will be met with care and practical guidance.

Get to know Lynn

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a counselor because I’ve seen firsthand how deeply pain can affect every part of life, and I wanted to be someone who helps others find hope and healing. My background in the medical field and my work during the opiate crisis showed me the power of compassion and resilience, and now I use that experience to walk with clients through trauma, challenges, and growth.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients that are ready for a change. I work best with clients that are struggling and feeling lost.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

One thing I wish every client knew is that healing isn’t about “fixing” yourself—it’s about giving yourself permission to grow, at your own pace, with support along the way. Progress often comes in small, steady steps, and even setbacks can be part of the process. Therapy is a safe space where you don’t have to have it all figured out—you just have to be willing to show up and take the next step forward.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In your first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where I’ll listen to your story and help you share what brought you to therapy. Early on, we’ll work together to set goals, build trust, and begin creating practical steps toward healing and growth at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My faith and life experiences have shaped the way I walk alongside others in their healing journey. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families facing some of the most painful realities—substance abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and the heartbreak of divorce. These experiences have taught me that even in the darkest seasons, people carry an incredible capacity for resilience and growth. I’ve seen how shame, grief, and brokenness can weigh heavily, but I’ve also witnessed the strength that emerges when someone feels truly seen, supported, and believed in.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I believe every client’s story is unique, so I take time to truly listen and understand what brought them to therapy. Together, we set goals that reflect their values, strengths, and challenges. I draw from different approaches—whether that’s trauma-informed care, solution-focused strategies, or faith-based support—depending on what best fits their needs. Clients can expect a collaborative process where we adjust along the way, ensuring therapy feels safe, practical, and meaningful for their personal journey.
