About Latrina
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 4 years of experience supporting clients in Florida and Texas. I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and emotional abuse. I help clients process and overcome the effects of trauma while creating a safe, judgment-free space to share their experiences. I am passionate about helping people understand their emotions, build resilience, and move toward healing with clarity and confidence.
I earned my master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. My therapeutic style is warm and interactive, grounded in respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I draw from cognitive behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive approaches to create treatment plans tailored to your individual needs.
It takes courage to seek support, and choosing therapy is a powerful first step toward change. I aim to empower you as you work toward a more fulfilling and emotionally balanced life. If you are ready to begin that journey, I am here to walk with you and help you move forward with strength and support.

"As one who has experienced personal trauma and loss, I have an authentic understanding of how we are impacted by painful life circumstances and how building new life skills can empower us once again."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I am an authentic server who cares about helping others. Counseling provides an avenue for me to assist those in the journey of discovering hope that propels them in thriving.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I enjoy working with clients who have experienced trauma, even when the client has dissociated from the memory of the incident.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish that all clients knew that this is a process. There are no overnight successes. Instead it requires hard work and dedication.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect my genuine and authentic desire to know them individually and to discover what has directed them to counseling.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My personal faith instills values that helps me to show up authentically, fully of compassion, and with no judgement.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy based on the uniqueness of each individual. No one person is the same as their response is not the same. Therefore, upon establishing a therapuetic relationship, I can discover what works best for that individual.
