About Keely
My name is Keely C. Black. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor currently practicing in the state of Texas. I earned my Masters degree from the University of New Orleans. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics for over 20 years. I have also been successful working with the LGBTQ+ communities. I use an integrated approach to counseling (which includes PersonCentered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT). Moreover, I am passionate about supporting clients through challenges such as anxiety, burnout, self-esteem, trauma, and relationship concerns while helping them reconnect with their strengths and goals.
Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are powerful, evidence-based frameworks. Person-Centered builds self-worth through empathy, MI resolves ambivalence and builds the drive for change, and CBT provides the practical tools to actively modify negative thoughts and behaviors.
You don’t have to navigate a troubled journey alone, I am here to help. Wherever you are right now, your experiences matter, and there is a safe, welcoming space waiting for you. I invite you to take a gentle step forward today by scheduling an appointment with me. We can explore your path at a pace that feels completely right for you.

"As someone who has been practicing for over 20 years, I have a deep understanding for those who feel disconnected or alone. I am experienced in helping others understand that they are not alone. "
