What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In their first sessions with me, clients can expect to provide a broad overview of their experiences, answer various background questions (with full power to advise that they are not ready to answer), identify several therapeutic goals, and gain an understanding of what to expect in future sessions to meet their goals.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In a first session, I aim to gain an understanding of what the client is experiencing in their daily life, some background experiences with therapy and mental health, and identify treatment goals.
