"As an individual actively engaged in an ever changing world, I understand how difficult putting one foot in front of the other some days can be...but that next step is worth it!"

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I had a career in law enforcement and learned that I was very good at counseling individuals taking a more personcentered approach than others in the field. I moved into foster care where I explored my desire to help others which grew into decades of working in the mental health field.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I am willing to work with just about anyone who is motivated to change and needs help. I primarily work with adults, couples and teens facing depression and anxiety.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Progress is not linear. There are ups and downs but that doesn't mean progress isn't being made.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

We will get to know each other and I like to learn about what brought you into therapy. In the first few sessions we will work together to set goals and identify steps to make meaningful changes.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I have experienced a lot of personal loss, served multiple careers and I am a Christian which shapes my view of the world. Having made a lot of mistakes it is my hope others can learn from that experience.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Let the client drive their goals and help determine how they wish to achieve them.
