Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I've always been drawn to helping people feel seen, heard, and supported- especially during times when life feels overwhelming or out of control. I have been inspired by seeing my clients transformed by learning to manage their emotions, strengthen their relationships, and build a life that feels meaningful. Over time, I have found that DBT aligns with my belief in balancing acceptance with change, and it became the foundation of my work. Being able to walk alongside teens, adults, and families as they grow stronger, more connected, and more confident is not just a profession for me- it's a calling.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with teens and adults who feel overwhelmed by emotions, struggle in relationships, or are seeking practical tools for change. My approach is structured, supportive, and rooted in DBT, helping clients build skills and confidence one step at a time.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am especially excited to work with teens, young adults, and adults who are ready to make meaningful changes, even if they are not sure where to start. I'm passionate about helping clients who feels emotionally overwhelmed build skills, gain insight, and create lives that feel more balanced and fulfilling.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that change is possible- even if it doesn't feel that way right now. You don't have to have it all figured out to start healing; you just have to be willing to take the first step.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose Thriveworks because of their commitment to accessible, high-quality care and their strong support for both clients and clinicians. Being part of a team that values compassion, clinical excellence, and real connection allows me to focus on what matters most- helping clients create meaningful change.
What inspires you?
I'm inspired by my clients' courage to show up, be vulnerable, and do the hard work of change. Watching people grow into healthier relationships with themselves and others- and witnessing even small steps toward healing- reminds me daily why I do this work.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Please note, any responses provided here will be added to your clinician profile with Thriveworks to be viewed by all potential clients. If you have any questions please reach out to your Onboarding Coordinator for details.
In our first session, clients can expect a calm, supportive space where we'll get to know each other, talk through what's bringing them in, and begin identifying goals. I'll explain how therapy works, answer any questions, and help clients feel grounded in what to expect moving forward- no pressure, just partnership and a starting point.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In my first session, my goal is to build a foundation of trust, gain a clear understanding of what the client is struggling with, and begin setting collaborative goals. I want each person to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident that they have a direction and partner in the process.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Clients should know that I bring a calm, non-judgmental presence and a structured trauma-informed approach to therapy. I believe in meeting people where they are, offering both validation and practical tools, and working at a pace that feels safe and empowering. You don't need to have everything figured out to start- just a willingness to begin the process.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring new recipes, and relaxing with a good true crime podcast or book. I also love getting outdoors when I can and finding little moments of joy and calm in the day-to-day.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
One thing that defines me outside of work is my love for finding the perfect cup of coffee to go with a good true-crime book- I take my relaxation as seriously as my therapy skills!
