About Provider

About Jasmine

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 4 years of experience. I specialize in working with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, addiction, emotional dysregulation, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, eating disorders, and relationship issues. I enjoy helping individuals who want to build self-awareness, create meaningful change, and develop stronger connections with themselves and others.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and eye movement desensitization reprocessing.

I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to grow and heal. I work with adolescents, adults, and families facing life transitions, recovery, or relationship challenges, and I am dedicated to helping clients build resilience and live more balanced, fulfilling lives.

Get to know Jasmine

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a counselor because I needed someone like me growing up

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with clients who are ready to make a change, and even clients who are not sure about therapy as well. Therapy does not have to be scary, intimidating or shameful.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Clients who have never been to therapy before and/or clients who are ready to do deep work

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

Therapists really do care about you.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I wanted to make therapy more accessible for potential clients

What inspires you?

What inspires me is to help people make an internal difference within themselves and increase their quality of life.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Lots of getting to know each other, breaking the ice and discussing expectations for therapy. I emphasize making a safe environment, I know it's hard to open up.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I want them to be able to see their goal for therapy and feel as comfortable and connected with me as possible.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I do Olympic weightlifting and love to spend time with my family + service dog.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)

I am a high-level athlete.
