About Provider

About Jasmine

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 6 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through seasons of change, healing, and growth. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions, helping them build insight, strengthen communication, and develop healthier connections with themselves and others. My clients often come to therapy seeking peace, balance, and the confidence to live more authentically as we work toward meaningful, lasting change together.

I earned my master’s in secondary education and clinical mental health counseling from Alcorn State University. My approach is collaborative and grounded in empathy, using cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help clients identify unhelpful patterns, build emotional awareness, and foster sustainable growth.

I understand that reaching out for support takes courage, and I want my clients to know they don’t have to walk this journey alone. Together, we can create space for healing, self-discovery, and renewed hope—one step at a time. When you’re ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.

Get to know Jasmine

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because I’ve always been drawn to helping others find hope and healing in the midst of life’s challenges. I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and transform when they feel supported and understood, and I wanted to be part of that process. My own experiences, both personal and professional, taught me the power of empathy, resilience, and connection, and becoming a counselor allows me to help others rediscover their strength and write new chapters of their story with confidence and compassion.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who are ready to engage in the process of self-discovery and growth, even if they’re unsure where to start. I especially enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who want to improve communication, navigate relationship challenges, manage anxiety or stress, and build stronger emotional foundations. My ideal clients are those who value authenticity, are open to reflection, and are seeking practical tools and deeper understanding to create meaningful change in their lives.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish all clients knew that healing isn’t a straight line, it’s a process of growth, grace, and rediscovery. Progress may come in small steps, but every step counts, and seeking help doesn’t mean you’re broken, it means you’re brave enough to choose yourself and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming space where we focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings them to therapy. I’ll invite you to share your story, goals, and any concerns you may have, while I listen with care and without judgment. Early sessions are about building trust, clarifying what you’d like to work on, and setting a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we’ll begin creating a personalized plan to support your growth and help you feel more grounded, hopeful, and empowered as we move forward.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is deeply informed by my belief in the power of resilience, faith, and authentic connection. I’ve learned both personally and professionally that healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, supported, and safe to show up as themselves. These values guide the way I show up for my clients with empathy, honesty, and compassion. I also value growth and grace, understanding that change takes time, and every small step forward matters. These principles shape my commitment to helping clients find hope, strength, and meaning in their own stories.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs by first listening carefully to their story, goals, and challenges, then combining evidence-based approaches with personalized strategies that fit their experiences and strengths. I adjust the pace, tools, and techniques to match what resonates most with each individual, whether that’s exploring emotions, building coping skills, improving communication, or addressing past trauma. My goal is always to create a flexible, collaborative space where clients feel understood, empowered, and supported in making meaningful, lasting change.
