About Deidre
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, including 4 years as an LPC Associate and 4 years as a fully licensed clinician. My background includes work in schools, inpatient and outpatient settings, and telehealth, which has given me the opportunity to support individuals and families through a wide range of challenges. I believe real change begins when you feel truly seen and supported, so I meet you with empathy, honesty, and practical tools to help you move forward.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Many clients come to counseling feeling overstimulated, or unsure how to cope—looking for practical tools, clarity, and a sense of control. Others may be working through past trauma or patterns impacting their daily lives.
Whether you're seeking relief from immediate stressors or looking for deeper understanding and long-term growth, I strive to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because of a deep desire to help others and be a steady source of support during life’s challenges. I am especially passionate about working with teens and adolescents, helping them better understand who they are, navigate their emotions, and gain clarity about the direction they want to take in their lives.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are motivated and open to change, even if they’re not sure where to start. If you’re ready to better understand yourself, build new skills, and take meaningful steps forward, we will work well together.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish more people knew that starting counseling can feel overwhelming and even uncomfortable at first, but with time, it often becomes a rewarding and transformative process that leads to greater clarity, growth, and lasting change.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected. I believe therapy should be both meaningful and practical, so we will not only explore what you’re going through, but also work toward real-life strategies you can use outside of sessions. This might include developing coping skills, improving communication, managing stress, or working through difficult experiences.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My personal experiences and values have deeply shaped my approach to counseling. Growing up in a Christian home instilled in me a strong sense of compassion, purpose, and the importance of supporting others. At the same time, navigating my own seasons of personal growth and difficulty—including times when I felt hurt and unsure of my direction—has given me a genuine understanding of how challenging life can feel. These experiences allow me to meet clients with empathy, authenticity, and respect for their individual journey, while creating a space where they can explore, heal, and grow at their own pace.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor counseling to each client by meeting you where you are and adjusting my approach to fit your unique needs, goals, and pace. Together, we create a plan that feels practical, supportive, and aligned with what you want to achieve.
