I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) in Texas and a counselor educator with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University, a Master of Education in Counseling, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from West Texas A&M University. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, career concerns, or difficulty navigating significant life transitions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, creating a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
My counseling approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and identifying patterns that may be getting in the way of your well-being. Together, we will explore unhelpful thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and build skills that support lasting change.
Taking the first step toward counseling can feel difficult, but you do not have to navigate life's challenges alone. I am here to meet you with compassion and understanding. Together, we can identify your strengths and develop practical tools to help you move toward greater confidence, clarity, and well-being. I invite you to schedule an appointment.

"I believe meaningful change begins when you feel truly heard, understood, and supported, and I bring a compassionate, collaborative approach that honors each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I value the opportunity to walk alongside people during some of the most challenging and meaningful seasons of their lives. I have always been drawn to helping others recognize their strengths, gain clarity, and discover that meaningful change is possible. As a counselor and counselor educator, I have seen how powerful it can be when someone feels genuinely heard, supported, and encouraged. I chose this profession because I believe counseling can provide a safe space for people to better understand themselves, work through challenges, and move toward the life they want to create.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with motivated adults who are ready to gain insight, make positive changes, and take meaningful steps toward their goals.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that they have more power in their own lives than they may realize. While we cannot always control what happens to us, we can develop the awareness, skills, and confidence to choose how we respond and take steps toward improving our lives. Therapy is not about someone else “fixing” you; it is a collaborative process that can help you recognize your strengths, understand yourself more deeply, and create meaningful change. Healing takes time, and every small step forward matters.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During your first session, we will complete an intake, which involves asking a variety of questions about what brings you to counseling, your background, current concerns, and what you hope to accomplish. This helps me develop a clearer picture of what you are experiencing and determine how I can best support you. In the early stages of therapy, we will focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship, identifying your goals, and developing a plan for working toward those goals. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in the counseling process from the beginning.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I am naturally a people person, and I genuinely value connecting with and helping others. I find meaning in supporting people as they navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and work toward the lives they want to live.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe every client is unique, and therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to understand each client’s experiences, strengths, concerns, values, and goals so we can develop an approach that feels meaningful and realistic for them. While I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I adapt the strategies and pace of therapy based on each client’s needs and readiness for change. I also value collaboration, regularly checking in with clients about what is and is not working so that we can adjust our approach as needed. My goal is for clients to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their own growth and progress.
