Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I knew I wanted to help people at 10 years old. My big heart and willingness to listen and problem solve with others pointed me in the counseling direction. It is truly rewarding to see therapy change people's lives and become more connected to themselves and others!
What types of clients do you work with best?
Clients willing to utilize tools and resources outside of session to grow and heal.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Trust the process. We will unpack and learn new strategies and tools together. Therapy requires patience and an open posture to new perspectives.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I feel strongly that access to mental health services should be affordable and easily accessible! Thriveworks works with many insurances and offers both in person and telehealth services to better meet the client's needs.
What inspires you?
Many things! My career: helping others find solutions. Personally: New adventures and time spent with my people.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
As a counselor I want to know who my client is and why counseling now. I am a nurturing, kind, and compassionate counselor.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I will ask baseline functioning questions to better understand how we can meet goals and make change.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
It is okay to ask questions about the process!
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I am a HUGE foodie and love to learn. I spend my time with friends, family and a good book!
