Ann Arcuri is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience. She works with individuals, couples, families, youth, and young adults. Ann specializes in trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, psychosis, suicide prevention, relationship conflict, motivational interviewing, parenting, addiction, juvenile and adult justice systems, and family dynamics.
Ann has a Master of Science in Counseling from Texas Women’s University. She utilizes an integrated approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy. Ann works with clients to develop short- and long-term goals and encourages them at every step.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I view myself as a caring and empathic person. I get great satisfaction seeing clients overcome challenges and moving forward with coping skills to deal with present and future struggles in daily life.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I enjoy working with all age groups.

I feel excited working with all age groups
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
They are more resilient than they believe.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I choose to work with Thriveworks as the company presents opportunities for all clients to receive mental health interventions; hence, promoting the importance of mental health throughout the US.
What inspires you?
I am inspired from numerous things including helping others, mentoring, learning new things, and family
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Questions related to what brought them to therapy, background information, expectations a client has about what they want to achieve in therapy, goals, questions about prior therapy if if so, what worked and what did not.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Overall, I want to build trust with the client or clients. Also, as much information to complete an intake.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Building a safe environment, building a client/therapist relationship, and that the client's confidentiality will be taken seriously.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy engaging in self-care, spending time with my dog (rescue dog named Noel), travelling, and reading.
