About Megan
I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) that holds a Master’s degree from East Tennessee State University. I have 10 years of experience in the social work field. My passion lies in helping people heal trauma and reconnect with themselves in a meaningful way. I bring a calm and warm presence to my sessions, creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported.
My background includes experience in behavioral intervention, substance use treatment, trauma focused treatment and hospice care. I tailor my approach to meet each client where they are, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), existential therapy, and somatic practices.
Whether you’re navigating loss, processing trauma, or simply seeking a more grounded sense of self, I’m here to walk with you in that process. I genuinely care about the success and outcomes of each person I work with and enjoy supporting and encouraging them to live as the version of themselves that feels most authentic and aligned.

"As someone who has experienced personal trauma and loss across my lifespan, I bring an authentic understanding of the impact of experiences on a person and strive to support empowerment in building new skills for living a life of joy once again."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a Social Worker to give back to the world in a meaningful way. I see the need for a kind and warm presence in our world and it's important to me to provide that to others as often as possible.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work well with pre-teens, teens and adult populations. I have a fondness in my heart for the trauma and substance use population, as I sought a certificate in substance use during my grad school career and believe those populations are unique in their need for empathy and support.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I get curious and ask clients what their needs are, as they are the best source of knowledge on the matter. I strive to meet clients where they are and ensure that if I can't meet their needs that I get them connected with someone who can.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
I take the time to build the rapport and safety that is needed and allow clients to be the guide for how we begin and how I can best support them. I strive to ensure clients feel comfortable and safe with the therapy space as we dive into deeper spaces together.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
That mental health, therapy and healing are not shameful. As humans striving our best in the world, we all need support and someone who listens with empathy and understanding. Ram Dass, a spiritual teacher, says "We're all just walking each other home" and I could not be happier to walk beside others along the way.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I've utilized mental health services myself over the years and want to continue supporting others with the same kind and empathetic presence that was integral to my own growth journey. I have a unique perspective to bring as someone who has experienced personal trauma and worked hard to overcome it and flourish. I want to offer the same hope to others.
