About Heather
I'm Heather Olson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed School Social Worker in Tennessee. I've been practicing since 2003 and work with children and adolescents ages 5 to 17. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 2003 and received my LCSW in 2007. My experience includes supporting children with severe behavioral and emotional disorders, providing adoption counseling, working in partial hospitalization programs, school counseling for over 14 years, medical social work in hospitals, and private practice.
I'm an eclectic therapist incorporating interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, psychodynamic, and dialectical behavior therapy. I help with child and adolescent mental health, grief and loss, emotion regulation, bullying, social skills, school challenges, behavior, self-esteem, conflict resolution, and healthy relationships.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my three daughters, husband, family, and friends. I love traveling to beach destinations around the world, hiking, chasing waterfalls, being outdoors, pool and lake days, cooking, exercising, movies, bowling, sporting events, and music events. My career as a difference maker is my passion.
