About Cortnee
I am a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider (LPC-MHSP) with 8 years of experience helping individuals improve their mental health and overall quality of life. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction, and I have extensive experience supporting clients with a wide range of needs in community mental health settings.
I earned my doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Lindsey Wilson College, following completion of my master’s degree in counseling. I am trained in trauma-specific approaches, including EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotion-focused therapy, and I work with both individuals and couples.
My goal is to create a safe, trusting space where you feel supported in being open about both the challenges and strengths in your life and relationships. Together, we will identify what you need to heal, grow, and move forward. If you are ready to begin or continue your healing journey, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

"I believe everyone deserves to feel heard and respected. My counseling approach focuses on helping people achieve their goals, navigate challenging times, and develop confidence in their coping skills."
Get to know Cortnee
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to be a counselor because I have always been fascinated with mental health and a desire to help people deal with their lives and situations differently.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I love working with people who need a listening ear, want to have a healthier life, and want to find new ways to deal with life.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy is for everyone and it is amazing the progress someone can make when they are open to trying something new.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The first session will be all about learning about you, your needs, fears, and goals. As well as, allowing clients to ask about the therapy process and start build a space of trust in the therapeutic relationship.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
The most important values to me are authenticity and connection. I know what it is like to feel alone in the world and need to feel healthy connections and this gives me the desire to help others feel less lonely and heard.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
My goals in therapy are always based on what the clients need. The client will drive the pace, treatment modality, and set their own goals.
