About Provider

About Jennifer

My name is Jennifer Coleman and I am a licensed professional counselor. I believe in developing a rapport with clients using a person-centered approach initially, until learning the best fit for each individual. I utilize a variety of techniques addressing underlying emotions and issues associated with families, children, and adolescents, as well as marriage counseling. I often use a cognitive-behavioral approach, especially with children, to focus on how thought processes affect behaviors. I also frequently use DBT for anxiety, solution-focused therapy with families, and reality therapy and music therapy with teenagers.

I specialize in trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and domestic violence, among other areas.  I also focus on parent-child bonding and postpartum depression. My clients can expect the highest level of privacy and open communication to aid with rapport. I work toward healing the mind, body, and soul to function more efficiently.

I use positive encouragement and acknowledge clients' behavioral changes to promote therapy goals. I look forward to you taking the next step and scheduling an appointment to start your journey toward a healthy lifestyle.
