About Carly
For the past five years, I've worked as a school counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Gonzaga University, a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from the University of Denver. I recently completed Clemson University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and am eligible for my LPC-A in South Carolina. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and hold an Initial School Counseling Certificate. While I primarily work with children and teens, I enjoy supporting clients across all stages of life.
I will listen and support you in a warm and nurturing environment and will be a positive support on your journey. I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a strengths-based approach to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. I can use Play Therapy to address emotional and behavioral challenges in younger clients.
I will create a therapeutic, supportive, and safe space where clients can be themselves, express their emotions, and work toward meaningful goals that support a fulfilling life. Feel free to schedule an appointment with me so that I can be a support for you on your journey!

"I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered - I bring a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach grounded in real-life understanding and compassion to meet your goals. "
Get to know Carly
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing is not linear, and you do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. It is about having a supportive space where you can feel understood, build insight, develop healthier patterns, and grow into the version of yourself that feels most authentic and grounded.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where they feel supported and seen. In the initial sessions, we will focus on building a strong therapeutic alliance through active listening and collaborative goalsetting. This involves exploring their current concerns, understanding their past experiences, and identifying their desired outcomes for therapy. We will also discuss treatment options, confidentiality, and the overall therapeutic process to ensure they feel informed and comfortable moving forward.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Life is a journey and we all need a little support along the way. I hope to be a support for my clients so that they can heal and live a fulfilling life.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by starting with genuine curiosity about each client’s story, strengths, goals, and lived experiences rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I collaborate with clients to create treatment goals that feel meaningful and realistic to them. I also believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered, so I continuously check in, invite feedback, and adjust my approach to support their growth in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
