About Sara
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with 2 years of experience. I have worked in crisis intervention, school-based counseling, and family therapy, supporting adolescents, young adults, and families. I focus on helping clients manage anxiety, depression, panic disorders, adjustment concerns, relationship issues, and family dynamics. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where growth and healing can take place.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Cairn University. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and aspects of play and art therapy. I use these tools to help clients explore feelings, build healthy coping strategies, and achieve meaningful progress.
I believe every client deserves to be heard and supported in reaching their goals. I provide a warm, safe space for open and honest conversations while guiding clients toward personal growth, resilience, and a higher quality of life. I am dedicated to walking alongside clients as they work toward the changes they want to see.

"I believe it is important to meet clients where they are and be supportive through growth and change."
Get to know Sara
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to help people through their hardest days. Being a counselor has allowed me the space to do so in many ways.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work well with anyone that is goal orientated and wants to see change. I also work well with those who want to express themselves and apply practical coping skills to their lives. While therapy can be hard work, I love to bring the joy and fun into it when appropriate.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I enjoy working with everyone but look forward to this who want to see positive change in their lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
That success and progress are not always linear. Just because you get stuck, does not mean you are “failing at therapy”. You cannot fail in therapy.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Thriveworks allows me to have a flexible schedule to best suit my clients as well as my lifestyle. Thriveworks also allows me to grow as a clinician and continuously gain competency to further support my clients.
What inspires you?
My family and friends. As well as those who have experienced the worst but still get up everyday determined to be kind when life has not been the same to them.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
We will discuss you! We will discuss your reason for treatment, your goals, as well as get to know basics to aid in building natural rapport.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I like to cover basics, need to knows, and general get to know you things. I like to establish a mutual goal and have a loose plan and expectation of the session to follow
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I appreciate meaningful moments and will not shy away from tough conversations throughout treatment but I also enjoy a good laugh along the way.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
With my time off, you can find me coaching my softball team, reading books, or exploring a new place.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
My willingness to learn and try new things.
