Get to know Olivia

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

To provide the ability to give each client I work with his/her voice to fully and safely express his/her thoughts, feelings and stories without feeling judged. To help the client see clearly their role and place in life and to find the hero within themselves, and to help the client be empowered to lead and enjoy their lives as productively as possible despite past and present hardships.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Clients who are ready to invest in themselves .

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Clients who are committed to trusting the process .

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

Healing is not linear , its messy , its complicated ,and requires vulnerability and work but it is absolutely possible.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I choose Thriveworks to be able to to provide services to a wide range of individuals no matter their distance or access to transportation .

What inspires you?

The resilience of the human spirit.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

A warm ,inviting, and safe space ,where they are free to be their authentic selves.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I want to begin to get to know the individual and what they are looking for within a Therapist. Finding the right fit is important to the therapy journey.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?

I love to laugh and others would say that I can be goofy, which I don't mind because I enjoy being myself and seeing others smile.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

In my free time I enjoys being out in nature; hiking, running, biking, and swimming, spending time with family and friends including my rescue dogs, and coaching endurance athletes both physically and mentally.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

My relationships with those I love and my connection to the world around me.
