About Nicole

I am a licensed professional counselor with three years of experience. I earned my Master of Arts from Franciscan University of Steubenville and have specialized training in CBT, ACT, solution-focused brief therapy, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. I typically work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, grief, and trauma. Whether navigating a specific crisis or pursuing personal growth, I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to achieve their goals.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw primarily from CBT, helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills. Together, we'll work to build self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful progress toward your goals.

Seeking support takes courage, and reaching out is often the first step toward meaningful change. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to better understand yourself, you don't have to navigate those challenges alone. If you're ready to begin, I invite you to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you.

Get to know Nicole

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because my mom has bipolar and I was able to learn a lot from our family caring for her. I realized that I could help others who are going through the same kind of situation and be a support to them. I am a good listener and I feel honored to walk and journey with someone toward healing and wholeness.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who are seeking help and support in the path to healing.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I want every client to understand that therapy is a deeply impactful resource and that lasting, meaningful healing is always an achievable goal.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Clients can expect to be met with kindness, compassion, and a nonjudgmental listening ear during their first session. I focus on getting to know each client as an individual while gathering information about the concerns and challenges that have brought them to therapy. The initial session is an opportunity for us to begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship, discuss goals for treatment, and explore how I can best support their needs. My priority is to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to share their experiences at their own pace.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is informed by a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the capacity for growth, even during life's most difficult challenges. I value empathy, authenticity, and the importance of meeting clients where they are without judgment. These values guide my commitment to creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences openly. I believe that each person's story is unique and deserves to be understood within the context of their individual experiences, relationships, and values. This perspective shapes my collaborative approach to therapy, where clients are viewed as the experts in their own lives and active partners in the treatment process. I strive to foster a sense of hope while helping clients identify their strengths, build resilience, and develop practical tools for navigating challenges.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I recognize that every client brings unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals to therapy. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment by getting to know each client's individual needs, personal history, and what they hope to achieve through the therapeutic process. Together, we develop a treatment plan that aligns with their values, preferences, and desired outcomes. My goal is to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to actively participate in their growth and healing journey.
