About Natalie
My name is Natalie and I graduated with my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lock Haven University in 2025, with a certificate in telehealth counseling. I have experience working with clients from ages five to 85, supporting them through grief, loss, life transitions, and mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression. I also have experience with cancer support, helping clients and caregivers navigate a diagnosis, manage the caregiving journey, and cope with loss. I guide clients in building resilience, finding balance, and fostering hope.
My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and tailored to each individual's needs. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and strengths-based interventions. I also incorporate art therapy to help clients express emotions and process difficult experiences.
My passion for grief counseling is rooted in my own experiences with loss, deepening my understanding of its impact. Seeking support is a courageous step, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you. You do not have to face this alone—your healing journey can begin today.

"Having experienced profound loss myself, I understand how isolating grief can be, and I'm here to offer you the compassion, connection, and hope that helped me in my own mental health journey."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My own experiences with loss and advocating for mental health programs inspired me to pursue counseling. Through those experiences, I discovered the profound impact that compassion, support, and connection can have during life's most difficult moments. They ultimately led me to my passion for helping others navigate challenges, find hope, and recognize their own resilience.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. Having worked with clients ages 5 to 85, I have found that I connect best with individuals who are open to building a trusting therapeutic relationship and are willing to explore their strengths as they work toward meaningful growth, healing, and positive change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing is not linear, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. What works for one person may not work for another, so together we'll discover the coping skills and strategies that best fit your unique needs and journey.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, my priority is getting to know you and building a strong therapeutic relationship. I understand that opening up to someone new can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can move at your own pace. I enjoy learning about each client as a person and when appropriate, incorporate activities, creative interventions, or games based on your interests to help you feel comfortable as we begin our work together. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about your journey.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My own experiences with grief, loss, and navigating life's everyday stressors, along with my passion for mental health advocacy, have shaped the way I practice. These experiences have taught me the importance of empathy, resilience, and meeting clients where they are. I believe healing looks different for everyone, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to build on their strengths as they move toward meaningful growth.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe every client is unique, so I tailor therapy to fit each person's individual needs, strengths, and goals. I begin by building a strong therapeutic relationship and getting to know each client beyond their presenting concerns. When appropriate, I incorporate creative interventions and activities based on a client's interests to foster comfort and engagement. Drawing from my experience with a variety of therapeutic approaches, I collaborate with clients to identify the techniques and strategies that best support their growth and healing.
