Why did you decide to become a counselor?
At a young age, I realized how much hurt and pain there is in the world. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to help people navigate these challenges, stressors, and heartbreaks. Now that I've been doing this for 5+ years, I have found much reward and meaning in being a counselor!
What types of clients do you work with best?
I thoroughly enjoy working with all types of clients -- Individuals, couples, families. The LGBTQ+ population is near and dear to my heart, but I believe that I work well with nearly everyone!

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I'm excited to work with all clients -- especially clients who are eager to explore their emotions and move towards healing.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew how genuinely therapists can care about them. For me, therapy is a big part of my life's purpose and building healing therapeutic relationships with clients is extremely meaningful to me!
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I love that Thriveworks provides clients with easy-to-access, high quality mental health care with integrity! I was really attracted to the idea of working remotely with the company in order to be able to meet my clients where they are from the comfort of their own home.
What inspires you?
Witnessing clients grow and progress and seeing their hard work pay off!
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
During the first session, I like for us to spend time getting to know each other and getting the basic idea about what you are hoping to work on/process during our time together. I'll introduce myself, clear up any questions or concerns you may have, and I will ask lots of questions to complete the necessary documentation and gather relevant information. I like to try to keep first sessions low-key in order to minimize any possible stress and anxiety that a client may be feeling.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
My goal with first sessions is always to start to build a rapport that will help us develop a therapeutic relationship that will propel clients forward in their healing process!
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I really care about being part of my client's unique therapeutic journey. Also, I often find laughter to be quite healing and I think there can be meaning in light-hearted discussions.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, watching the Phillies, walking my dog, getting out in nature, and occasionally indulging in reality television!
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
What defines me is my love of life, people, and animals!
