About Lenda
- Greetings! My name is Lenda. I am a bilingual counselor. I have been a counselor for eight years. I chose this career because I personally know someone who struggled with mental health. It is gratifying seeing how my clients have shown progress and achieved a better life throughout my work with them. I have gained experience in working with individuals who struggle with depression and anxiety symptoms on a daily basis. I also have worked with victims of sexual abuse and other crimes. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills in sessions. I continue taking training to better help my clients.
- My approach is for clients to identify negative thought patterns and replace them with healthier, more constructive ones. Challenge distorted thoughts. Use of interventions between sessions. Objectives are set and measured regularly to monitor client progress. Mindfulness is used in sessions to help clients manage emotions, anxiety, and impulsive decisions.
- Sounds like you have gone through a lot, please allow me to help you heal through a gentle and peaceful session. I want you to know that you matter and your feelings are important. Therapy is a safe place to explore your concerns at your own pace.

"As a woman of color, I understand the challenges that this brings to our lives. I have experience working with people of color of all ages especially those struggling with depression and anxiety. I use DBT skills and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during therapy during my sessions. I also have experience with working with victims of any crime for many years. "
