Get to know Krysbel

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I always believed that being therapist was a career that chose me. Life has shown me that one of my many purposes in life is to not only help others but guide them so they can connect with who they are meant to be.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Anyone who wants to live a better life, wants more out of life and wants to be the best that they can be.

What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?

I wish clients knew that we are always doing our best, even when our best doesn’t seem like it, especially to others, we are always doing our best especially when we have different challenges, stressors and barriers to overcome.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Thriveworks provides a place not only for the clients but for the therapist to be their most authentic self.

What inspires you?

Being able to work with clients inspires me. It may be a cheesy answer but clients are a main motivator to why I do what I do. Clients inspire me to be the best that I can be so that I can guide them to be their best.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Clients can expect their first session to be a calm and laid back conversation about what their goals are for therapy while getting to know one another to create a safe and trust space.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I hope to accomplish to have a client wanting to come back for another session. Taking it one session at a time.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

I’m an understanding, supportive, honest, funny person who brings her truest self to sessions to help clients achieve their goals.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I spend time with my two little ones and my husband. We love to play, dance, sing, watch Disney movies on repeat. We also love to eat and find new places to try out.

What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

One thing that defines me is my ability to care and listen with compassion.
