Jordan Stash is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 3 years of experience in the mental health field. He has experience working with all age groups, including children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. He strives to assist his clients in a variety of ways, helping them navigate through difficult times, processing emotions, and more. He specializes in several areas including depression, anxiety, gender identity, sexual orientation, LGBTQIA+ issues, and child therapy.

Jordan holds his Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Student Affairs from California University-Pennsylvania. He has worked with children on the autism spectrum, assisting them with recognizing behaviors, processing emotions, and more. He is a former behavioral therapist who utilizes multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and solutions-focused brief therapy (SFBT).

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I chose to become a counselor because I have always had a passion for helping others. The mental health field allows me to live out that passion by working with others to enhance their quality of life.


What types of clients do you work with best?

I work well with a variety of clients. I have much experience working with children, young adults, LGBTQIA+ populations, and adults. I work best with those experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, gender dysphoria, and sexual orientation.


What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

Therapy is meant to be a safe, nonjudgemental space to explore, learn, and grow.


Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I chose to practice at Thriveworks because the environment seemed welcoming. I believe Thriveworks will allow me to flourish and succeed as a clinician.


What inspires you?

I am always inspired by others and their accomplishments. No matter how big or how small, progress and success are inspirational to see!
