What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?

In therapy, my focus is on helping clients recognize their strengths, build self-confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of how their emotions influence their thoughts and behaviors. I work collaboratively to help individuals identify their core values and what truly matters to them, fostering personal growth, emotional stability, and a sense of safety in their lives. My approach is about empowerment, helping clients navigate challenges with self-awareness and resilience while creating a space for healing and meaningful change. I also emphasize the importance of developing healthy coping strategies and gaining insight into personal patterns, allowing clients to make intentional choices that align with their goals and overall well-being.

Clients should know that I approach therapy with authenticity, humor, and a deep commitment to meeting them where they are. I believe that healing does not have to be heavy all the time. Laughter and genuine connection are just as important as the hard work of growth. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable, heard, and empowered to explore their challenges at their own pace.

I also draw from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, incorporating elements from books, movies, and music to make sessions engaging and relatable. Beyond the therapy room, I am someone who values connection, adventure, and new experiences, whether that is hiking with my dog, traveling to immerse myself in different cultures, or simply enjoying a good conversation around a campfire.

If you are looking for a therapist who is down to earth, compassionate, and willing to help you navigate life’s challenges with a mix of insight and humor, I would love to work with you.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

In my free time, I enjoy a mix of adventure, relaxation, and good food. I have two fish, Wasabi and Sushi, who add a little personality to my space. I love going on hikes with my dog, spending time outdoors fishing, and playing soccer or basketball to stay active. Food is a big part of what I enjoy where I love exploring food festivals and never miss a carnival funnel cake. Some of my favorite moments are sitting around a campfire with loved ones, sharing stories and laughter. Traveling is also a passion of mine where I love immersing myself in new cultures, learning about traditions, and appreciating the unique architecture of different places.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

One thing that defines me is my sense of humor. I love to laugh, make others laugh, and find the funny side of life, even in tough situations. Whether it’s through a witty comment, a well-timed joke, or just embracing the ridiculousness of a moment, humor is a big part of who I am.
