About Jessica
I am a licensed professional counselor with 14 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals across the lifespan. I have worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, trauma-related conditions, and substance use disorders. My experience across multiple settings allows me to support individuals with complex and co-occurring mental health needs.
I hold a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Alliant International University. My approach is evidence-based and collaborative, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy to support insight, coping skills, and emotional regulation.
Seeking support is a meaningful and courageous step. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and empowered to make meaningful change. When you are ready, I invite you to take the next step and begin this work together.

"As an individual who has experienced mental health concerns both personally and professionally, I have an authentic understanding of how it impacts one's overall wellness and the need to address mental health concerns holistically to nurture all aspects of one's being."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I was fascinated by human growth and connection, and I find deep meaning in walking alongside people as they overcome difficult moments and discover their own strength.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I have the most experience working with adults with diagnoses of anxiety, depression, PTSD and substance use disorders, those experiencing grief and loss or have experienced traumatic events in their life.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that change and healing takes time and that the process is not linear, but even in those low days growth is still possible.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
I tend to spend the initial sessions getting to know more about a client's life to gain a holistic understanding of who they are. I also use these initial sessions to build a strong therapeutic rapport.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I know how much it matters for clients to feel understood during difficult times. I bring authenticity, empathy, respect, and a belief in a client's ability to grow and make changes to better themselves.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
My approach is collaborative, drawing from both cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic theories and techniques. I recognize that every individual is unique-with their own needs, desires, and ways of processing feedback and making change.
