About Erica
I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and nationally certified counselor (NCC) who works with individuals ages 16 and up navigating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, relationship issues, and self-esteem challenges. My goal is to help you build a deeper understanding of yourself and find real hope for the future.
I believe therapy works best as a partnership. Using a range of approaches—including CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, and family systems—I tailor each session to you. Whether you want to take the lead or need more guidance from me, I'll meet you where you are.
Each session, my aim is for you to leave feeling better equipped to handle whatever comes next. I recognize the courage it took to get here, and I'm ready to walk alongside you. Schedule an appointment to start this next chapter.

"As one who has been through this process myself, I have an authentic understanding of how difficult it can be in taking this first step, and congratulate you on this progress. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to enter this field because I found that people gravitated towards me in times of distress. I find that I have a very natural, down to earth way of connecting with people and making them feel comfortable, even in their most vulnerable moments.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are committed to the process, recognizing that it takes time and work to make progress and I am here to walk alongside you in this journey.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
That it's a partnership. There is no power struggle here; it's an equal playing field. Everyone experiences difficulties with their mental health in one way or another - even therapists! We are all human and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The first session will be a lot of information gathering in a conversational manner. I will work to create a safe, secure space for our work moving forward and allow clients to be in the driver's seat if they so choose. I work at the client's pace although I will challenge as I see fit and appropriate.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I have been in the client's shoes and know what that experience is like and what's helped me. I try to put myself in my client's shoes and see things from their perspective so I can best help.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I recognize that everyone is an individual and that your struggles differ from someone else's experiences. I try to meet every client where they are and acknowledge that everyone is at a different place in their mental health journey.
