About Christina
Christina Zuno is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has over 13 years of experience in various levels of care including outpatient, inpatient, and longer-term care. Christina has experience with various populations, including those with anxiety, depression, addiction, developmental delays, and many others. She is flexible and able to work with many different needs.
Christina focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). It’s important the therapy is fitting the individual, and Christina will work with each individual to personalize care for growth and guidance. She earned a Bachelor of Science at Pennsylvania State University and followed her undergraduate degree with a Master of Science from Philadelphia College of Medicine.

Get to know Christina
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I watched a family member suffer from an eating disorder wanted to understand the disorder and help others from not going through the same thing.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Those ready for change or those that need a support.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
It’s okay to not be perfect and that there are times we take a couple steps back. The idea is that you are almost getting at least a half a step forward.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Flexibility, open communication, and felt connected to directors. Felt like they were interested in how I can help.
What inspires you?
A beautiful sunset because tomorrow will always be a new day.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Someone ready to listen and provide support.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to gather information, get some understanding on what brought them for therapy. I want to set some starting goals based on their needs.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Art, family time and play music.

I am courteous and a loyal friend. I’ve always been called kind.
