About Catherine
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania with 4 years of experience. I have worked in community mental health settings supporting clients of diverse backgrounds as they navigate challenges such as managing emotions, developing coping skills, processing grief and trauma, and building a healthier self-image. My approach is rooted in compassion and collaboration, and I am committed to helping clients create meaningful change in their lives.
I have a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. I utilize a strengths-based approach to support my clients in reaching their goals. I draw from dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, somatic-focused therapy, and expressive arts to tailor care to each person’s unique needs.
I look forward to learning more about you and walking alongside you on your journey. Together, we can work toward growth, resilience, and healing.

"Seeking support is an act of bravery and hope, and you deserve patience, expertise, and safety to create effective and lasting change."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
So many of the people I have met- both personally and professionally- tend to judge themselves much more harshly than they judge others. I want to support others who are feeling blocked or stuck. I want to help teens and adults clarify their values and live in accordance with them. I want to help my clients identify what they can control and focus on changing those things, and identify what they cannot control and let go of those things.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with older teens and adults who are seeking support, validation, and evidence-based interventions from a caring provider.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that healing is not always linear, but growth is always possible. You have survived 100% of your hardest days!
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
I tend to spend initial sessions getting to know more about a client's history, strengths and needs to form a holistic picture of their life.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I believe that my clients are the experts on their own lives and needs. I see my role as a support in clarifying how to best address those needs in an adaptive, healthy fashion. I am a parent who has experienced a number of life transitions including midlife career change. These experiences and values inform my practice as a therapist.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I have been privileged to learn different modalities from extraordinarily talented mentors. I have developed an ability to assess whether a client would benefit from a more top-down cognitive approach or a more bottom-up somatic approach.
