About Cassia
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who works with adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I specialize in helping individuals who feel tired, overwhelmed, and unsure of their next step, but are ready for change. I work with clients who are carrying more that they let others see and help them gain clarity, build healthier patterns, and feel more grounded and in control of their lives.
My approach is warm, supportive, and grounded in evidenced -based practices such as CBT and mindfulness. I help clients better understand the patterns behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools to manage stress, build healthier habits, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you've been carrying so much on your own. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. You deserve a space where you feel supported, understood, and not alone. When you're ready, I'm here to walk alongside you in the process of growth and healing.

"As someone who has experienced life-transitions and overwhelm, I understand what it feels like to carry a lot internally while still showing up for life, and I help clients untangle and work through unhelpful patterns so that they can feel more grounded, clear and in control."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I've always been drawn to understanding people on a deeper levelespecially what's happening beneath the surface. I've seen how easy it is for individuals to be misunderstood or reduced to what others can see on the outside rather than being truly understood at their core. I also recognized a gap in genuine empathy and care within some spaces, and I wanted to be a part of changing that. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, heard and understood, while also helping them move beyond just coping toward real, lasting change
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who feel overwhelmed, stressed or stuck in patterns they can't seem to break. Many of my clients are used to being strong for others but feel exhausted internally. I support individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and relational or family-related stress. I also work well with caregivers and those dealing with chronic stress or health-related challenges, helping them find balance, clarity, and healthier ways of coping
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that therapy is not about having everything figured out before you start. It's ok to come in feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or even hesitant. Real change doesn't happen overnight and may also not be linear, but with consistency and the right support, it is absolutely possible and can be lasting. You don't have to carry everything on your own.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, you can expect a supportive and non-judgmental space where we begin to get to know each other. I'll ask questions to understand what's bringing you in, your history and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. We'll also begin identifying patterns or areas you'd like to work on. My goal is for you to feel heard, comfortable, and leave with a clearer sense of direction.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My approach is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and a belief that real change happens when people feel both supported and challenged. I value meeting clients where they are while helping them move forward in a meaningful way. I also respect the role that personal beliefs and faith can play in healing, and I'm able to incorporate that into the process when it's important to the client.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by recognizing that each person's experience, needs and goals are unique. I use an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based methods such as CBT and mindfulness while adjusting my style to fit what works best for you. Some clients need more structure and tools, while others need space to process. I focus on what will be most effective in helping you feel more grounded, clear and in control.
