About Alizay
I am a licensed associate professional counselor (LAPC) with 5 years of experience working with children, families, and adults. My work is trauma-focused and supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, and the lasting impact of abuse or assault. I understand how overwhelming life can feel and approach therapy with care for both emotional experiences and how the body and nervous system hold stress and trauma.
I earned my master’s in clinical and counseling psychology from Chestnut Hill College. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and view treatment as a collaborative process. My work draws from somatic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
My presence in the therapy space is warm, calm, and open. Sessions with me are conversational, reflective, and gently challenging, while centered on creating a space where you do not have to filter yourself. I work alongside you to reconnect with your strengths, build insight, and create meaningful, lasting change.

"Growing up in a family home shaped by trauma, I often felt broken or out of place. I now believe no one is broken, and in therapy, we work together to rewrite your story and create a life you want."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I was drawn to this work because I truly love people and their stories. I believe everyone has the ability to make changes and I enjoy helping along the way.
What types of clients do you work best with?
don’t limit myself to a specific 'type' of client. I work with anyone who’s ready to move forward
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
You don’t need to have everything figured out to start therapy. Healing is a slow, and small changes matter just as much as big breakthroughs. There may be times when things feel harder before they feel better and that doesn’t mean therapy isn’t working.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
You can expect therapy with me to feel relaxed and conversational. I move at your pace and focus on building a real connection, because healing happens when you feel safe enough to be honest and unfiltered.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My personal experiences, including a trauma background, have shaped my commitment to trauma-informed care. I believe growth often comes from curiosity, creativity, and being willing to try new things. Also, using humor can go a long way when it comes to getting through challenges.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by getting to know you are within their cultural, family, and personal contexts. We discuss what feels true for you and what you do or don’t find helpful.
