Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I found myself connecting others to resources to meet physical needs; but, later realized that until mental issues are addressed, there is a revolving cycle of need.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I consider myself able to work with a variety of clients with differing needs and backgrounds.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I work well with clients of all ages, demographics who are ready to commit to therapy, thereby making life long changes.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Therapy is not where you sit on a couch and lay out all your problems and a therapist solves them. It is you (the client) working together with the therapist to determine what's next.

I am inspired when there is a change in client's thinking and being.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
First session will be an opportunity for clients to discuss what's brought them to therapy. It is also an opportunity to get a genuine connection so that the work can begin.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I would like for an individual to feel comfortable and be open, honest during the 1st session thereby creating a trusting environment.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
As long as you continue to show up and give it a try, I'll be there to support you all the way.
