About Kathryn
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion and care. I’ve had the privilege of supporting people across all stages of life, from children and teens to adults and older adults. I am dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space for healing, growth, and resilience. My experience includes working with diverse communities, including veterans, individuals with serious mental illness or developmental disabilities, LGBTQ+ clients, and Native American populations.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. My specialized training includes cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused approaches, play therapy, and motivational interviewing. I tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs, creating a collaborative and supportive path toward positive change.
Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply seeking support during a life transition, I offer a nonjudgmental and affirming space to help you heal, grow, and thrive. Together, we can discover the path that feels right for you.

"As a therapist, I bring warmth, affirmation, and genuine connection to every session, creating a space where you feel deeply seen, celebrated, and supported in your journey."

What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to take charge of their lives and personal growth—those who value honest, direct communication and are open to being challenged in supportive ways. Together, we will focus on helping you reclaim your life, make meaningful changes, and move forward with confidence and purpose.
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
From a young age, I felt a calling to listen, support, and stand up for those who needed a voice. That early sense of compassion and commitment to affirming others naturally led me to become a counselor. Today, I am honored to walk alongside clients in a safe, compassionate space, helping them feel seen, valued, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
My hope is for all clients to know that mental health is a vital part of overall well-being, and that therapy provides a safe space to explore challenges, grow, and build the skills to navigate life with greater clarity and resilience. Every step, even the small ones, is meaningful and part of lasting change.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we focus on building rapport and understanding your unique experiences. We will review basic demographic information and complete a psychosocial assessment to get a full picture of your current situation. Together, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss the best approach to support your growth and well-being.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My personal experiences as a spouse, mother, and daughter, combined with my core values of honesty, integrity, openness, authenticity, and lifelong learning, deeply inform my approach to therapy. They allow me to connect with clients with empathy and understanding while fostering a space that is genuine, respectful, and growth-oriented. These perspectives guide me in supporting each person’s journey with authenticity and care.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor my therapeutic approach to each client’s unique needs by first understanding their individual experiences, goals, and strengths. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches and adjust my strategies to fit what resonates most with each person. This personalized approach creates a collaborative, flexible, and supportive space where clients can heal, grow, and achieve meaningful change.
