About Provider

About Esther

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 6 years of experience supporting individuals, children, and families in community and clinical settings. My background includes helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship struggles. I enjoy working with people who feel ready for change but may feel uncertain about where to start. I focus on helping clients identify their needs, develop healthy coping tools, and move toward goals of healing, growth, and a more balanced and fulfilling life.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Wichita State University. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, grounded in evidence-based practices. I provide a safe space for clients to explore challenges while building tools for resilience, healing, and lasting personal growth.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I honor the courage it takes to take that first step. My goal is to walk alongside clients with compassion and understanding, offering a safe space to heal, grow, and rediscover hope. I invite you to begin your journey toward the change you deserve.

Get to know Esther

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor after experiencing the loss of my best friend in college. Walking through my own journey of grief opened my eyes to the importance of having support during life’s most difficult moments. That experience inspired me to help others process pain, find healing, and discover hope, no matter what challenges they face

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with clients who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and grief. Many of the people I support are seeking a safe and nonjudgmental space to process their emotions, gain clarity, and develop healthier ways of coping. I meet each client where they are and walk alongside them toward healing and growth.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am most excited to work with clients who are ready to explore their emotions and take steps toward positive change, even if they feel uncertain about where to begin. Whether they are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship challenges, I find it rewarding to support clients who are open to growth and committed to their healing journey.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

One thing I wish all clients knew is that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Healing is a process, and it’s okay to take it one step at a time—you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin your journey toward growth and change.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

chose to practice at Thriveworks because I value being part of a team that truly prioritizes clients’ well-being. Thriveworks’ supportive and client-focused approach allows me to provide compassionate care, helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered on their journey toward healing and personal growth.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by the strength and courage people show when facing life’s challenges. Seeing clients grow, heal, and discover new ways to cope motivates me to walk alongside them and support them in creating meaningful change in their lives.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

In your first session, you can expect a safe and supportive space to talk openly about what’s on your mind. We’ll get to know each other, discuss your goals, and begin exploring ways to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered on your journey

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

In the first session, I aim to help clients feel heard and supported, clarify what’s most important to them, and start exploring steps toward growth and positive change in a safe, welcoming space.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?

Clients should know that I offer a safe, supportive space where they can be heard and understood. I work collaboratively to help individuals navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship struggles, guiding them toward healing, growth, and greater well-being

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. I love exploring new places, trying new foods, and learning about the traditions and ways of life in different communities—it helps me stay curious, inspired, and balanced
