About Amy
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 11 years of experience supporting adults through life transitions, stress, burnout, parenting challenges, and relationship concerns. I welcome individuals of any race, age, or gender and strive to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space. As a mother of 6, I bring a grounded, real-world perspective to therapy, helping clients manage daily challenges and feel seen, heard, and valued.
I earned my master’s in social work from the University of Oklahoma. I use brief, solution-focused, and strength-based approaches to help clients identify their strengths, gain insight, and take meaningful steps forward. My work is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your goals, offering tools you can use right away to create real change.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. I’m here to listen without judgment and help you sort through what’s going on at your pace. Whether you're feeling stuck or simply need someone to talk to, we’ll work together to find a clear path forward. I’d be honored to support you in this next step.

"As a licensed therapist and parent of 6, I bring both clinical expertise and real-life perspective to support clients of any race, age, or gender in a safe, respectful space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I’ve always believed that people deserve to be heard, understood, and supported, especially during the hard moments that don’t have easy answers. My early work in social services showed me how powerful it can be when someone feels seen and valued, even briefly. Over time, I saw that change doesn’t always require years of therapy, sometimes, the right support at the right time can make a big impact. That’s what led me to specialize in brief, solution-focused work. As a therapist, I get to combine clinical skills with empathy and real-life perspective, helping people find clarity, build on their strengths, and take meaningful steps forward.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who are navigating life transitions, burnout, parenting stress, or relationship challenges—especially those looking for practical support and ready to make meaningful changes. My clients often want a space to feel heard without judgment and appreciate a focused, strengths-based approach. I also connect well with people juggling multiple roles—caregivers, parents, professionals—who need therapy that fits into real life and offers tools they can use right away.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that you don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy, and you don’t have to have everything figured out to start. Healing isn’t always about fixing something that’s broken; sometimes it’s about having space to sort things out, be honest with yourself, and build on the strengths you already have. Progress can be quiet, even messy, but it’s still progress.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, I’ll focus on getting to know you, what’s bringing you in, what you want to work on, and what’s already working. I’ll ask some questions to understand your goals and background, but there’s no pressure to share everything right away. Early sessions are about building trust, identifying priorities, and finding small, manageable steps forward. You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we’ll work together to create a plan that fits your life.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is shaped by a deep belief in dignity, inclusion, and the power of small, meaningful change. As a parent of six and a caregiver in a multigenerational household, I understand how overwhelming life can feel, and how important it is to have support that’s both practical and compassionate. I’ve seen how much people carry quietly, and I strive to create a space where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered to move forward in ways that align with their values.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by starting with what matters most to you, your goals, your pace, and your lived experience. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I draw from approaches like solution-focused therapy, CBT, and motivational interviewing to find what fits your situation. Whether you need space to process, tools to manage stress, or help making a tough decision, we’ll work together to find a plan that feels doable, respectful, and aligned with your strengths.
