About Moriah

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) with over 34 years of experience. I support individuals, couples, and families to overcome challenges, improve communication, build resilience, and foster personal growth. I specialize in both mental health and substance abuse with an emphasis on resolving trauma and enhancing recovery. I offer compassionate, client-centered, trauma-informed care tailored to you and your goals, meeting you where you are on your healing journey. Sessions are centered on you, your needs, values, hopes, dreams, and goals.

I specialize in trauma and loss resolution work using EMDR and other modalities with a focus on gentle, effective resolution as an integral part of care. I empower couples and families to heal and strengthen their relationships through improving communication, building a secure bond, and creating a strong foundation for their relationship.

We all need support and care to travel through life's challenges and changes. We will begin where you are with respect and honor for you and your experiences, taking your next steps to healing and recovery in a warm, safe, and comfortable setting.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I enjoy working with others to support them in realizing their goals in life.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with those clients who are ready to take their next step in life.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Everyone has challenges and transitions in life. Sometimes, two heads are better than one when looking at how to approach those challenges and changes. That is what therapy can provide.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

I will listen carefully and compassionately to what is happening for you and what your goals are.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

As a person who has faced challenges and transitions, I value creating a safe space to explore options and set a path forward.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I listen carefully to what clients tell me their concerns and needs are and work with each client to develop a personalized approach to those needs.
