About Craig
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) with 26 years of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds with trauma, grief, addiction, relationship stress, immigration concerns, parenting challenges, low self-esteem, and multicultural issues. As a bilingual therapist, I provide services in both English and Spanish and bring cultural sensitivity and lived understanding into the therapeutic space. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, anger management concerns, stress, and major life transitions.
I earned my master’s in counseling from Catholic Theological Union. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I tailor each session to meet your unique needs.
You do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. Together, we will work to strengthen your inner resilience, gain clarity, and move toward healing, growth, and a greater sense of peace.

"Be kind, because everyone is fighting a hard battle. As a bilingual clinician who has worked across diverse communities in both New Mexico and Illinois, I strive to meet each client with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for their unique journey."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a counselor because I believe in the transformative power of human connection, empathy, and support. From an early age, I was drawn to the idea of helping others find meaning, stability, and healing in the midst of life’s challenges. Over the years, I’ve seen how a safe, compassionate therapeutic relationship can empower individuals to rediscover their strengths and move forward with purpose. Being able to walk alongside clients on that journey is not just my profession—it’s my calling
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, life transitions, and relationship stress. I connect well with adults from all walks of life, including first responders, multicultural communities, and those facing deeply rooted emotional challenges. Whether someone is experiencing a specific life crisis or seeking long-term personal growth, I provide a calm, respectful space where progress feels both possible and supported.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing is not linear. It’s a deeply personal journey that requires patience, trust, and self-compassion. Progress can take time—and that’s okay. One of the most powerful things clients can do is simply show up, even on the hard days. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about creating a space where you can safely explore, grow, and move forward at your own pace
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where we begin building rapport and identifying their goals. I take time to listen closely and understand each person’s unique story. Early sessions focus on getting to know one another, exploring key concerns, and beginning to map out a collaborative plan for treatment. My goal is to meet clients where they are and move forward in a way that feels safe, practical, and empowering.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As someone who has worked across diverse communities—including time spent in Illinois and my current practice in New Mexico—I bring a deep respect for cultural identity, resilience, and personal transformation. Being bilingual has allowed me to connect with clients from all backgrounds, and I lead with values of empathy, respect, and accountability. I believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. These values are the foundation of the work I do every day.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by meeting clients exactly where they are—emotionally, culturally, and psychologically. I take time to understand their background, values, and goals, and adapt my approach based on what resonates with them. Whether it’s using evidence-based techniques like CBT, integrating culturally responsive methods, or simply providing a space where clients feel safe to be themselves, I work collaboratively to support meaningful and sustainable progress. No two clients are the same, and therapy should reflect that.
