About Provider

About Danielle

I'm an EMDR therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-worth challenges, grief, life transitions, and the lasting impact of childhood trauma. I specialize in helping clients move beyond old patterns, heal unresolved wounds, and create meaningful, lasting change. My approach combines Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with a focus on personal narrative, helping clients process painful experiences and rewrite the stories they've carried about themselves.

I help clients deepen their self-awareness, develop greater emotional resilience, and create lives that feel more authentic and aligned. Known for my direct, honest, and compassionate style, I work best with clients who are ready to actively engage in the therapeutic process. I believe meaningful growth often requires courage, accountability, and a willingness to examine uncomfortable truths.

In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I'm deeply interested in spirituality and the connection between emotional, energetic, and personal growth. My work is influenced by my experience as a Reiki practitioner and tarot reader, and I welcome clients who wish to explore spirituality, intuition, energy work, or questions of meaning as part of their healing journey.

Get to know Danielle

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I received poor treatment from a mental health professional during a time I needed support. I kept thinking what if I had been another patient they mistreated? What if that mockery turned that person off from getting help or worse?

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

You get out of therapy what you put into it.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I wanted to find a place I could grow with and allow me to expand professionally.

What inspires you?

I just want to give people the support I didn't have in the past.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

The first session is all about gathering information on your health history and establishing rapport. It is an opportunity to learn about you and for you to ask me any questions we may have. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, what you would like to get out of it, and go over some housekeeping details such as practice policies. I do my best to make all sessions as comfortable and organic as possible. At the end of the day, it's a conversation. Feel free to bring a cup of your favorite coffee or tea along!

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I want to establish a safe space for them and also give them an idea of what therapy actually is.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

My approach is conversational, challenging, and inquisitive. I also like to utilize humor when allowed.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I love being outside and in nature: hiking, traveling, going to the beach or park, and exploring new places. A cup of coffee is always a plus! I also enjoy playing video games, watching favorite anime shows, reading anything from novels, memoirs, and manga, and having new experiences.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

My faith.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with adults who are ready to actively participate in their healing and growth. My ideal clients are curious about themselves, open to self-exploration, and willing to examine the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be keeping them stuck. Many are seeking not only symptom relief but also a deeper understanding of who they are, what gives their life meaning, and how they can live more authentically. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are open to exploring the intersection of emotional healing, personal growth, and spirituality.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am most energized by clients who are willing to look inward with honesty and courage. These are individuals who are ready to challenge limiting beliefs, explore the stories they tell themselves, and reconnect with parts of themselves that have been neglected, silenced, or wounded. I enjoy working with clients who appreciate a direct yet compassionate therapeutic relationship and who are interested in deep, transformative work rather than quick fixes. Clients who are curious about intuition, spirituality, personal meaning, or their own inner wisdom often find that my approach resonates with them.
