Get to know Bryanna

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I have always wanted to help people through listening and conversation. Social interaction is a beautiful thing and the thought that someone would share things with me makes my heart smile. Being a counselor means watching others grow and standing by them through life's difficulties as they arise.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work well with people who are motivated to reach their goals, but I am also patient with meeting clients where they are at and going at their pace.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am excited to work with any new clients, I love getting to know people and what their life looks like for them!

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

What you say and how you feel matters. You are a unique and wonderful human being, and my goal is to make you feel recognized. Therapy is personal, specialized, and a journey, and as a therapist being apart of that journey makes me feel extremely grateful.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

The opportunity to grow as a counselor and as a person by learning from other counselors, and learning from my clients!

What inspires you?

Animals inspire me, as well as helping others. I love helping anyone if I am able to, and I find a lot of inspiration in making other people feel like what they say and do matters. Acts of kindness and making a positive impact on the world mean everything to me.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

You can expect a casual but productive conversation. We will discuss why you are meeting with me, but I also want to touch on topics you're passionate about, and where you want to go to be your most authentic self.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I truly just want to get to know my clients on a level of who they are, not just a snapshot of why they are coming to see me. I want to make you feel heard, seen, and valued as an individual.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?

I am a really outgoing introvert, so I understand multiple sides to many situations or experiences. I tend to be very balanced and understanding, there is no topic that is too taboo for me, I love learning about who my clients are and rolling with them at their pace.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

Mostly spend time outdoors, reading, or enjoying quality time with my dog, Axle. I enjoy getting as much sunlight as I can, so on warmer days you can usually find me and Axle walking or at the beach.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

My friends may tell you I can be really funny and playful, but I have a huge heart and always want to help someone if given the opportunity.
