My approach is warm and collaborative, focusing on identifying each individual’s strengths and preferences. I work with individuals and groups to support their goals and treatment choices, using cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused interventions.
I am sensitive to multicultural issues and strive to understand each person’s unique viewpoint. Together, we focus on what may not be working and find ways to enhance overall wellness. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow in meaningful and life-affirming ways and create deeper connections with themselves and others.

"I choose to work with highly motivated people from a strengths-based and client-centered approach to support them in better functioning, better mental health, and wellness."

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I have always felt empathy for others and strive to offer non-judgmental feedback to those who seek it.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work with adults 18 and up, and specialize in senior issues with a focus on life transitions, comorbid medical and mental health issues, and grief and loss for anyone. I support women in coping with issues specific to their experience in society, from aging to the workplace to self-esteem struggles.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with motivated and open adults who are looking to increase insight and feel better in ways that are meaningful to them.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish new clients knew that clinicians are looking for your strengths to help you improve upon what's working and change things that aren't, while treating you with respect and a place of non judgment, no matter the issue. We understand and have worked with many, many others with difficult and private struggles.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to work at Thriveworks because the goals of the agency are consistent with my own ethical and client-centered beliefs and standards.
What inspires you?
The insight and strengths of clients to change inspires me. Animals inspire me. Positive, funny, and kind people inspire me.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect to get to know me some, while letting me in to their world, experiences and needs. We will discuss some background and confer on goals for our sessions.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session-intake I want to gather background information on my client and find out what we will be working on, and what their experiences in treatment have been, good or bad, so we can move forward with what works for the client.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy spending time with friends, being active, cooking, and volunteering with animal rescue groups.
What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I am an advocate of animals and have always enjoyed and been passionate about their welfare.
