About Jarrett
Jarrett Isler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) who has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. As a young man Jarrett began to live a healthy life by working out, eating healthy, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He found that he wanted to help others make positive choices to live a happy, content, fulfilling life.
Jarrett completed his Master of Social Work (MSW) at West Virginia University. He is a certified personal trainer and a certified yoga instructor. He is a very outgoing young man, able to converse with many people of diverse backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. He can carry on conversations in a way that makes people feel comfortable speaking to him about their wishes or needs. Jarrett’s strongest asset is his personality. He is always willing to lend a kind, listening ear to whatever clients would like to share. He tries to respond with genuine positive suggestions.
Jarrett can help you by demonstrating his own positive ways of making decisions. He is always available to talk through or listen to his clients’ suggestions. He lets his clients know that he understands and feels what they are going through. He also tries to convey that he is here whenever they need his help.

Get to know Jarrett
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I took Psychology 101 back in 2001 at West Virginia University and found Psychology very interesting. I knew since then that I wanted to become a therapist.
What types of clients to you work with best?
I have experience working with all kinds clients such as working with people who are having issues with depression, anxiety and anger issues as well as clients dealing with Substance Abuse.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Working with all types of clients.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
The importance of Mindfulness.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I wanted to people to truly do therapy from home and in the office.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

To establish great rapport with them.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Trust and establish great rapport.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Running, yoga, fishing, going to the beach, doing pull-ups/chin-ups.
