Get to know Huguette

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I both had a great therapist when I had marital problems in my twenties, and was the "therapist" in my friend group and family, it was naturally how I wanted to help people.

What types of clients do you work with best?

People who want to feel better.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

The most important thing about therapy is they're going after the help they need.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I liked what I read about their ethos.

What inspires you?

My faith, my family, the possibilities of a new day. So many things!

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

A lot of questions.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

Find out where they are and where they want to go.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

I'm still figuring out the lighting in my office!

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

Spend time with my kids and/or friends.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

Faith.
