About Harper
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 6 years of experience supporting clients across a wide range of mental health needs. I specialize in depression, anxiety, personality disorders, mood disorders, trauma, psychosis, substance use, stress, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, ADHD, and relationship and family concerns. I work with clients of all ages and strive to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions and begin meaningful healing.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from East Carolina University. I offer individualized treatment using dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered approaches. My goal is to understand what works best for you so we can move toward your goals together.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, but you are not alone. I am here to provide a compassionate, validating, and collaborative space where you can grow at your own pace. Together, we will build skills, strengthen self-understanding, and create a path forward that supports your healing and well-being.

"As someone who has experienced mental health struggles in the past, I have an authentic understanding of how it can impact your everyday life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have struggled with mental health since I was a child, and seeing how my therapist changed my life inspired me to do the same for others. I have a passion for helping others in a non-judgmental way in all areas of my life which is another reason I wanted to get into this field to do it as a career.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Adults between the ages of 20-50, intensive therapy, high risk
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
It is okay to not be okay. The therapy process is not linear and it can take time to see major change in yourself, but every step counts. Having support throughout this process does not make you weak, it shows your strength and willpower.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Creating a personalized and tailored treatment plan is very important to understand clients goals and what they are working towards. Also allowing clients to express whatever they feel comfortable with at the beginning to create therapeutic rapport is key.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I have seen clients completely change their lives from the beginning of treatment to the end. Seeing clients who have lost hope, to then gaining purpose and loving themselves is a powerful experience to be apart of. I have had clients express they have never felt so comfortable around someone before, which is what I value most.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Allowing clients to take time to feel comfortable around me is important; I never want to rush the process. Having organic sessions is important for both the client and the therapist for rapport building.
