About Kristie
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) with 20 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health concerns. I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Throughout my career, I have worked across diverse settings, which has allowed me to develop a strong clinical foundation and a practical understanding of how emotional challenges show up in everyday life. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and focused on creating a safe and supportive therapeutic space.
I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. I use evidence-based, strength-based, and client-centered approaches tailored to each individual’s needs.
I believe therapy is about more than coping skills. It is about reconnecting with your strengths, your story, and your sense of self. I will meet you with honesty, empathy, and respect as we work together to help you move toward meaningful and lasting change.

"As one who has experienced personal trauma and loss, I have an authentic understanding of how painful life circumstances impact us and how building new life skills can empower us once again."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a counselor because I believe deeply in the power of human connection and the healing that comes from being truly heard. Throughout my life, I’ve seen how people carry invisible burdens—stress, trauma, uncertainty—and how transformative it can be when someone offers compassion without judgment.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Older teens and young adults
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
If clients could hold onto just one idea, it would be this: the healing process is a journey, not a destination, and every step counts.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
A warm welcome: The first session is about building comfort. I’ll invite you to share what brought you here, but there’s no pressure to tell your whole story right away.
Getting to know each other: We’ll talk about your goals, your hopes for therapy, and any concerns you might have. This helps us shape the process together.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Empathy through lived experience: Having faced my own challenges, I understand how isolating life’s struggles can feel. Those experiences taught me the importance of compassion and the power of being truly heard.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Listening first: Every client’s story is different. I begin by deeply listening to understand your background, values, and goals before suggesting any approach.
Collaborative goal-setting: We work together to define what you want from therapy—whether it’s coping strategies, self-discovery, or healing from past experiences.
