About Provider

About Trisha

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who specializes in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), grief and loss, and hospice (end of life). I have 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I believe that everyone should be able to tell their stories without judgment. Your experiences mold you into who you are; however, this does not mean you can't change and grow.

I completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Wayne State University. I believe that you can heal from your past stories, pain, and hurt.

Sometimes people find themselves stuck in patterns, with hurt and pain that don't serve them well. You can learn from these events and make new healthy patterns. I am here to hear your story. Work with me to see the changes you would like to see. Contact me for an appointment so you can get started!

I wanted to become a counselor to help others feel that they are not alone in this world.

I felt that they offer a space that allows healing and growth to their clients and patients.

What inspires you?

My family inspires me.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

During the first session with me I like to understand what brought you in. I also use the first session as get to know each other. As I know I am a stranger to you, as you are to me, and the first session the goal would be used to ensure we get to know each other and the goals you are here for.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

That an individual feels comfortable and willing to tell me their story.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

That I am here to listen without judgment, and be ready to start healing.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

During my time off I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy going camping and hiking. I enjoy going on walks, and running.

What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

Something that defines me would be my family and friends. My passion for helping others.
