Can you tell us about a success you had with a client?
I worked several years with a young man who struggled with self-medicating his mood disorder with alcohol and other substances. He worked very hard with me on determining triggers and finding healthier ways to deal with his struggles. By the end of our time together, he had decreased his drinking dramatically and implemented several healthy habits including hiking, playing disc golf and socializing in places that did not involve alcohol.
