About Leticia
I am a licensed certified social worker-clinical (LCSW-C) with over six years of experience in behavioral health services, working with adults struggling with a wide range of mental health challenges. I specialize in working with clients who have complex needs and those within marginalized populations and communities, approaching each person through a humanistic lens. I recognize that each client's needs are unique, and my therapeutic style—grounded in empathy and unconditional positive regard—is not one-size-fits-all.
I am task-centered and solution-focused, drawing on other approaches interchangeably in order to address individuals. I am direct, and will identify and discuss a client's ambivalence or resistance, as needed, in order to help the client continue on their healing process through their individual treatment plan.
Asking for help is the first step, and that step alone shows real strength and the innate drive toward your desire for change and growth. From there, we work together—forming a therapeutic relationship, identifying goals, strengthening coping tools, building connections, and exploring new perspectives—to help you find your personal fulfillment.

"Through personal and professional experience, I understand what it is to face hardship and the importance of identifying and building upon our unique strengths to grow and overcome challenges in life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a therapist after personal experiences with hardship, witnessing those of my loved ones, and professional experience. Throughout these, I was able identify being able to view the value of individuals as a human beings, a perspective that many others cannot.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who understand that change and growth come in many formats.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
That therapy is not linear and that the therapeutic alliance between the client and therapist is one of the most important factors in the change process because the relationship is built on trust.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During our first session and in the early stages of therapy, we will work to build rapport and gather information for identifying and setting goals.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Through my educational and professional experience, continuing to develop on a personal value that we are each unique and deserve to have someone in our life with empathy, that offers a non-judgmental acceptance of us, and providing that emotional safety that has not been attained before in other relationships.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Through our therapeutic alliance, we will build upon your individual strengths and create a treatment plan to fit your needs and address any identified challenges in your daily life to help you reach your overall goals in personal fulfillment.
