Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a counselor because I developed a passion for understanding the complexities of human behavior and their environment and social systems that can affect and shape their lives. Through this understanding I wanted to be able to help and support individuals face and work through any challenges they might face.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
There is nothing wrong with having emotions and feelings about the experiences of our lives, it just means that we are humans! There will be times when we feel great and other times not the best, which is okay. It's okay and normal to say "I'm not okay" the key is to keep progressing and work on our healing!
What inspires you?
I am inspired by individuals who fight for what they believe and continue to pursue growth and healing regardless of life adversities!
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
During the first session, we will be introduced to each other and building rapport in order to establish a safe and trusting dynamic.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to accomplish establishing a safe space for clients to voice and discuss whatever they feel ready to talk about. My goal is to be a guide into a journey that is focused on the client to achieve their desired goal.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I like to watch movies/shows, read, bake, hiking and exploring different experiences as much as possible!
