Hi, I’m Justice Wood, an independently licensed mental health therapist with nine years of experience across outpatient, school-based, and residential settings. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I support clients in developing healthy coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, and building confidence as they work toward meaningful, lasting change.
My approach is eclectic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based techniques to help clients process experiences, build coping skills, and strengthen emotional wellness. Clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they feel empowered to grow, heal, and create meaningful change.
You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Wherever you are in your journey, you deserve compassion, understanding, and support. I welcome you to take the next step toward healing, growth, and a healthier relationship with yourself. I look forward to walking alongside you.

"As a woman of color who has overcome significant obstacles and persevered through adversity, I bring both personal understanding and years of clinical experience to my work, creating a compassionate, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, empowered, and supported in your own journey toward healing and growth."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My passion for helping others, combined with my own experiences overcoming obstacles, inspired me to create a safe space where individuals can heal, discover their strengths, and realize that their past does not define their future.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are open to exploring their emotions, navigating life transitions, and developing healthier ways to cope with challenges. I enjoy supporting children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, or relationship difficulties. I especially value helping clients build selfesteem, recognize their strengths, and feel empowered in their healing journey.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that healing isn't linear, and progress doesn't have to be perfect to be meaningful. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin therapy. Growth takes time, and every small step forward matters. You deserve patience, grace, and compassion throughout your journey.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where we get to know each other, discuss your concerns, and explore your goals for therapy. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while building trust and creating a plan that supports your growth, healing, and emotional well-being.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I value empathy, resilience, authenticity, and cultural understanding. I strive to meet each client with compassion, honor their unique story, and help them recognize their strength and potential for growth.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I take a collaborative, personcentered approach, recognizing that every client’s experiences, culture, and goals are unique. I tailor treatment by considering each client’s strengths, challenges, and comfort level while incorporating evidence-based techniques that align with their needs. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel empowered and actively involved in their healing journey.
